Why do some moderators at online websites and forums often abuse their “power”?
Over the past year or so, it has come to my attention more than once (at three different websites/forums) how some moderators use their so called rights and power to treat regular users unfairly in one way or another – disabling accounts, giving bans and what not. Why is it that happens? What kind of person gets a big head from being such a minor authority in the cyber world of all places?
Because their small position on this one tiny site gives them a feeling of power and it begins to go to their head. As if any thing they do has any real meaning in the grand scheme of things. Its how small minds work.
