How do I know if this Red Dot Sight fits my airsoft gun?

I bought a ASG G36C (Don’t mock it) And I wonder if a”Dot sight, red, 40mm” will fit its rail? I don’t have any more info on the dot sight than that. Does the “40mm” mean that the rail needs to be 40mm? I think mine is 21 or something. Thanks

I’m guessing that because it is a G36C model, it has the standard RIS rail system. To be honest I’ve never seen a gun with a rail that wasn’t RIS. But the 40mm has to do with the size of the scope, the diameter I believe. You should have no problem at all affixing it to your gun, or any gun in the future for that matter.
