How do you create a web page where everything is centered?
I know that may not make too much sense but I am trying to set it up similar to the page we are viewing. I know HTML basics but have not been able to figure out how to format this. I want a white background and a colored center where all my information is. I hope this makes sense!
For what ever selector name you are using to contain your contents, you must set a width less than 100%. For example, using a div wrapper container:
CSS –
div#wrapper {
width: 800px;
margin: 0 auto;
}
Then HTML -
Set the CSS part on your external CSS stylesheet or is using embedded CSS, put it between the head tags along with the other styling which is enclosed in style tags:
