Where can I get a temporary mobile internet connection for a laptop?
I have a older Dell Inspiron laptop and I will be moving into a basement apartment with no Internet, plus no phone line or cable, for probably a month and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions as far as where I could get a temporary mobile connection for my laptop that is not horribly expensive? I checked into Verizon however that is rather pricey for just the amount of time I need it. Any other ideas?
They are all expensive as far as air cards go that connect to cell phone towers for access.
You can use any phone line for dial up or WiFi hot spots. You might check for any available non secured wireless networks in the apartments, this is not the best way to go as it is using some one else’s service and not safe for sending/receiving personal info over.
