Most bands add many random people and send a comment to them asking them to listen to their music and recommend them to others.
You should ask all of your friends to promote your band on MySpace with a banner or some kind of promotion on their profiles.
(The banner should link to your page.)
It’s a lot of things to do socially. You just have to talk to people and get your name out there.
