What will happen if i upgrade my genuine vista basic to vista home premium which i download form the internet?
Have a genuine copy of vista basic on my pc and would like to upgrade it to the vista home premium. I got a copy of the vista home premium which was downloaded from the internet. If i use it to do the upgrade, will it make my OS not genuine?
If you downloaded (purchased) a legal copy of Vista Home Premium then you should be fine.
If you downloaded a free version from somewhere (which is not legal), then it will most likely give you problems since any MS Genuine Advantage program/update will cripple your system. Not advised to use it.
